Baylor YouthCue Wrap Up
April 13, 2008
From February 22 - 24, 2008, members of our Chapel Choir traveled to Waco, Texas and participated in the Baylor YouthCue Choir Festival. Our students joined others from all over the country to form a 300 voice choir that was accompanied by the Baylor University Orchestra.
After two days of long rehearsals, our students led in worship at First Baptist Church Waco on Sunday morning. That afternoon, the choir and orchestra presented the Grand Concert featuring the work In His Own Words. This work consisted of several movements with lyrics directly from the words of Christ found in the gospels.

We Made It!

After experiencing incredible traffic on I-35 through Fort Worth, we made it onto the campus of Baylor University just in time! Our students, along with nearly 275 other singers, worked hard all evening in preparation for our Sunday concert. Everyone is pretty tired, so we will all be going to bed in the next few minutes. Concert Attire
Everyone will receive a YouthCue festival t-shirt when we arrive on campus. The guys will wear black slacks, black shoes and black belts. For the girls, you will wear either black slacks or black skirts of appropriate length along with black shoes. No flip-flops!

Final Baylor Payments Due
January 9, 2008
We have 43 students and sponsors going to the Baylor YouthCue Festival in February. The remaining $30 balance for this trip is due on Sunday, January 27th.
We will leave the church at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, February 22 and will return at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 24. All of your meals will be covered in the cost of the trip, so you will not need to bring any additional money
Chapel Choir Retreat
January 9, 2008
We will kick off the spring semester with a Chapel Choir Retreat on Saturday, January 12th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. At the retreat, you will learn most of the music for the Baylor Festival, receive important information about the Chapel Choir tour in July, and then we will all have a hamburger/hot dog cook-out. Everyone who is going to the Baylor Festival is required to attend. If you have a conflict and cannot attend, I must know before Saturday.

The Chapel Choir sang “Your Name” in all three morning worship services yesterday and did a great job! Thanks for being there early on a Sunday morning.
There are only a few more days to sign up for the Baylor Trip in February. Wednesday is the absolute last day to sign up.

Last Week to Register for Baylor Youth Cue
October 31, 2007
Sunday, November 4th is the last day to sign up for the Baylor Youth Cue Festival. The total cost of the trip is $60, but only a $35 deposit is required to sign up. There are only a limited amount of spots available, so sign up soon.
