September 21, 2009
On Sunday, October 11th (updated date), the Chapel Choir and PraiSingers are joining together to sing Write Your Blessed Name in our morning worship services. This will be a fantastic opportunity for our ensembles to lead our church in worship. We were originally scheduled to sing on October 4th but we have moved that performance to October 11th.
Here’s a link to a recording of the song, so you can begin to learn and memorize it.

This weekend is Labor Day Weekend, so we will not have any Student Music Rehearsals this Sunday, September 7th. I know that all of you are heartbroken about it! This means no Chapel Bells, High School Bell Ensemble, Chapel Choir, or PraiSingers. Enjoy your afternoon off…they don’t come that often!

The Fall 2009 Student Music year will begin on August 23, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the S.I. Room. Our Fall Kick Off Meeting is the place for you to find out about all of the exciting opportunities for ministry and service that are available this year. We will be sharing information concerning our ensembles, audition sign-ups, and our summer tours. This is a perfect time for new students to get plugged in and connected with our ministry. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and ask lots of questions. If you cannot attend but have questions, please contact David Toledo.

This Sunday, January 11, 2009, we will have a Student Music Information Meeting in the Student Impact Room following the morning services at 12:15 a.m. We will be giving out important details concerning our two summer tours and our annual composer concert. It is important that each student and at least one parent be present at the meeting. Our Student Music meeting is in conjunction with our Student Mission Trip meetings. The Holidays Are Coming!
October 29, 2008
It is hard to believe, but the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays are quickly approaching. Our Student Ensembles have some exciting opportunities to lead in worship over this holiday season, and you don’t want to miss out on them. First of all, we will not have rehearsals on Wednesday, November 26th or Sunday, November 30th. Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday with your family!
Our Student Ensembles have three major worship leadership opportunities in December. First, on Wednesday, December 17th several of ensembles will lead the 180 Student Christmas Worship Service. On Sunday, December 21st the Chapel Choir, PraiSingers, Chapel Ensemble, and Student Orchestra will provide all of the music for the three morning worship services. That night, the Chapel Bells and PraisRingers will participate in our annual Ring and Sing Christmas Handbell Program.
As you can see, we have a lot going on this holiday season. Make sure that you attend every rehearsal you can so that we can all give our best for God’s glory!
Combined Choirs Leading in Worship
September 17, 2008
The PraiSingers and Chapel Choir will lead in evening worship on Sunday, September 28th at 5:30 p.m. We will be singing Raise Up the Crown (click link for audio). Students will need to wear their white Student Music Ministry t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. The dress rehearsal will be at 4:00 p.m on September 28th. It’s very important that every participate in our first worship leadership opportunity of the year.
Fuel groups will be meeting on campus that evening, so you will not miss Fuel because of this worship leadership opportunity. If you have questions or will not be able to participate, please contact David Toledo or Stacy Porter as soon as you can.
