June 17, 2009
To give a brief summary of Middle School Choir Tour I can only use the word “Awesome.” The trip was absolutely amazing. The students did an amazing job of sharing the Gospel through songs as well as modeling what it looks like to follow (obey) Jesus Christ.
- They sang for a local food pantry
- They sang for a Nursing Home
- They sang for Manor Care
- They sang for Boys and Girls Harbor
- They served at Clear Lake Baptist Church moving items, cleaning, meeting and loving on children
- They sang and led worship at Harvest Methodist Church
Our Response: Give Glory to God
May we live out the word of God the rest of year as well as the students did this past week!
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit, within me.

Middle School Tour Day #3
June 12, 2009
HOT DAY!
Today we focused on Seeking the Kingdom of God above all else. We discussed that the things of this world will never last and that eternal things are what matters. Obey God matters! Loving others matters! Christ is coming back for us and we need to found faithful.
A few highlights of the Day:
1. Walls got painted!
2. Yards got mowed!
3. Casey Lewis and Matt Arnold beat Mark Arnold and Justin Harris in Spades 418 to -96.

Middle School Tour Day #2
June 11, 2009
Today we focused on seeking the Kingdom of God First in everything. If summing up the day I would say being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ! These middle school students sang their heart out and loved on little children all the way up to a 98 year old woman who has been following the LORD for 65 years! Today was a wonderful day! The Holy spirit truly moved and I was ministered to in a mighty way by their songs. It was truly amazing to watch students sing to mature adults about following Jesus Christ. I must admit, I cried today! (Yes I am a man who cries).
A few highlights of the Day:
1. Youth Loving God!
2. Youth Loving children!
3. Youth sharing the Gospel through songs and reading scripture!
4. Youth modeling the way of a follower of Jesus Christ by living out the Word!

Middle School Tour Day #1
June 10, 2009
Today we focused on having a pure heart devoted to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. The students gave all Glory to God as they sang to the members of Clear Lake Baptist Church. Patty and Stacy have done a wonderful job of picking music that shares the gospel with all who hear! The youth worked extremely hard without complaining and set a great example for the Lord as well as for FBC Keller.
A few fun highlights of the Day:
- Patty made a wrong turn before we left the metroplex
- Preston bought a ink squirting pen at the very first bathroom break
- Casey sang “I love peanut butter” next to Emma! (She smiled!)
Please be in prayer for tomorrow as the youth sing and interact with those as the food pantry, manor care nursing home and at Boys and Girls Harbor.

Middle School Students Leave for Tour
June 10, 2009
This morning at about 8:30 a.m, 31 students and sponsors piled into 4 vans and left on the “Heart of Worship” Middle School Tour 2009! Each night we will post updates and photos from the day’s activities. Please continue to pray for the safety of the students and sponsors and that God would be glorified in everything that they do.

Middle School Tour Update
May 18, 2009
We are less than a month away from our Middle School Tour! By now, every student going on tour should have turned in all their forms and made payments totaling at least $175.
Please make sure you have the following dates on your calendar.
- May 17 – 4:00 p.m. – Regular Rehearsal
- May 24 – No Rehearsal (Memorial Day)
- May 31 – 4:00 p.m. – Regular rehearsal
- June 7 – 4:00 p.m. – Regular rehearsal
- June 9 – 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Final rehearsal
- June 9 – 6:15 p.m. – Whitley Place (Complete Tour Concert)
- June 10 – leave on tour
We will have information on tour t-shirts and outfits very soon. Just as a reminder, every student will need a pair of black dress pants and black dress shoes. Tennis shoes will not be allowed.
We will have an important Middle School Tour Parent meeting on Sunday, June 7th at 4:45 in room 222. At least one parent from each family should make plans to attend.
2nd Payment Due
March 26, 2009
The 2nd Payment of $50 for the 2009 Middle School Tour is due Sunday, April 5th. If you have not signed up to go on tour, it is not too late. But your time is running out fast! If you need a registration form, click the Important Forms link on the homepage and download a copy. Don’t forget that scholarships are available if you need financial assistance.

The deadline for registering for the Heart of Worship Middle School Tour 2009 is quickly approaching. Your $50 deposit and registration form are due on Sunday, March 1st. You can download a copy of the registration form by clicking the Important Forms link on the homepage. If you have any questions or concerns, please let Stacy Porter or David Toledo know as soon as possible.
Middle School Tour Registration Info
January 9, 2009
You can now begin registering for the Heart of Worship Middle School Tour 2009. Our middle school students will be traveling to Houston, Texas from June 10 – 14, 2009 where they will sing in churches and nursing homes, work with area church plants, and have a fun day at Galveston Beach!
The total cost for the trip will be $175 for students and $85 for sponsors. The initial deposit of $50 is due by March 1, 2009. You can download the registration from below or under the resources page.
