The PraiSingers did a fantastic job leading in worship yesterday morning. “Worthy of Worship” was outstanding!
So outstanding that you are getting next week off from rehearsal! We appreciate all of the hard work you have put in this semester and want to reward you by giving you the afternoon off from rehearsal. Enjoy it!
We will have our next rehearsal on Sunday, November 15th. See you then!

The PraiSingers did a fantastic job last week in leading worship with the Chapel Choir. “Write Your Blessed Name” came off beautifully! Thanks for your hard work.
Don’t forget that we are singing in a few weeks on November 1, 2009 in all three morning worship services. You need to make sure that you have the proper outfits: remember that your attire is the first thing that the congregation notices when you walk out on stage. Guys – dress pants and a shirt with a collar. Ladies – make sure that the length of your skirts or dresses are appropriate. Remember – if you have a question about something you want to wear, you probably shouldn’t wear it.
We need everyone at rehearsal every week! It’s important to have the full ensemble in rehearsal so that we can begin to mesh as a group and grow musically.

We will be taking our promotional pictures for choir tour next Sunday, May 31st. You have an extended rehearsal on May 31st from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Please wear a pair of blue jeans and a t-shirt. You will receive your tour t-shirt that afternoon and will have time to change into it. If you are not going to be at this rehearsal and picture taking, please let Mrs. Stacy or Mrs. Patty know as soon as you can.

Don’t forget that the PraiSingers and PraisRingers are leading in worship this Sunday morning, March 8th in all three worship services. You need to be in the Family Life Center at 7:30 a.m. Also, don’t forget that it is time change Sunday, so you lose an hour of sleep.
Middle School Tour Registration Info

You can now begin registering for the Heart of Worship Middle School Tour 2009. Our middle school students will be traveling to Houston, Texas from June 10 – 14, 2009 where they will sing in churches and nursing homes, work with area church plants, and have a fun day at Galveston Beach!
The total cost for the trip will be $175 for students and $85 for sponsors. The initial deposit of $50 is due by March 1, 2009. You can download the registration from below or under the resources page.

Ready for a New Year!

We are excited about this upcoming 2008-2009 year for the Middle School Student Music Ministry. Our middle school choir, the PraiSingers, will be directed this year by Mrs. Stacy Porter. Stacy is going to do a fantastic job leading this group and we already have a lot planned!
We know that you have a busy school schedule this year as well as outside activities that will eat up your time. But the bottom line is this: God has gifted you with musical talent. What a wonderful way to showcase that God-given talent AND give glory to Him in choir! Please pray and seek God’s will about this area in your life.

Day Four: Schlitterbahn and Back to Keller

After a great weekend of missions and performing, Monday was a day for playing at Schlitterbahn water park in New Braunfels. The day included 6 hours for fun at the water park before the final ride home. Believe it or not all of the group used sunscreen and most avoided getting sunburned. We arrived safely back at FBC Keller around 9:45pm, after a stop in Waco for dinner.

Day Three: Martindale Baptist Church/Northeast Baptist Church

Today, our groups led worship for two morning services at Martindale Baptist Church and for the evening service at Northeast Baptist in San Antonio. The kids did a super job at both churches, and their ministry was very much appreciated. After the evening devotional and spades games, the sponsors have compiled the following Top Ten list of “Things We’ve Heard On Tour”. If you have trouble figuring out what they mean, check with your student…
